A Wedding in Different Times :: WischDesigns

I'm in the business of capturing emotion and people and events and memories.  Some of the images coming from this time of pandemic are so strong and so powerful that they move me to tears.  I pray that I'm providing families with something they will cherish when all of this craziness has passed by.

This particular wedding was supposed to be in April.

Even though all friends and family couldn't be there, they wanted to go ahead with the ceremony now and celebrate again later in the fall.

So with an amended cast of characters, the show went on.

And what a beautiful, lovely, special show it was.

Thank you David & Lizzie for sharing your very special day with me.  Looking forward to the continued celebration in October!

The reason things seem so effortless is that somebody behind the scenes (possibly a wedding planner, possibly an ultra organized member of the wedding couple, possibly a friend) spent a lot of time outlining what would happen when, who needed to be where, and what objects needed to be in place at what times.

The document that outlines all of that information is the day-of wedding timeline, and it’s arguably the most vital document in all of wedding planning… and yup,
I’m including elopements in that.

First of all, a note about why you need a wedding timeline (and YES you need a day of timeline).

When you attend a wedding that goes well, things seem to magically flow from one thing to the next. People seem to automatically know where to go. You don’t spend a moment thinking about logistics because you’re having so much fun. Well, that’s a little bit of a trick.

Then they shared the letters they had written for one another. The sweet bride had snuck in a special note for our very first session that she wanted to get a shot of without Josh knowing. So she finally got to reveal that to him in her letter.
He put it on the vintage dresser that was holding the guest book and melted everyone's hearts right then and there.
